What is personal training?

If you’ve never used a personal trainer before, the prospect can be a little daunting. You might not know what it involves, or what it will help you achieve.

One of the benefits of using a personal trainer is the highly personalised, targeted approach.

I’ll work with you to assess where you currently are- there’s no shame or embarrassment. We do this so we can work out a realistic timeframe and strategy for you. After all, it gives you another reason to celebrate, seeing how far you’ve come!

I’ll work with you to design a realistic plan based on your lifestyle. This helps build healthy, sensible habits which you can maintain long term, whilst staying motivated. A personalised plan will help deliver the best possible results, specific to your body type and ability.

I’ll work closely with you whilst we implement your fitness plan and work with you to maintain your gains!

We are in this together

I work out with you. I’m a very hands on trainer- I won’t sit by and simply tell you what to do when we train- I’ll show you!

One of the biggest anxieties around exercise, especially in the gym, is around the correct technique. Just going to the gym and lifting weights won’t necessarily give you the body you want, after all it may even cause some harm to your body. I’ll teach you the correct techniques in order for you to get the best results.

This will empower you with the confidence to exercise properly on your own in the future.

No diets!

It is about more than exercise. Have you ever heard the saying ‘you can’t out-train a bad diet?’. I believe that’s true, but that doesn’t mean you have to calorie count and make yourself miserable. Plus, everyone knows extreme diets aren’t sustainable in the long term!

I’ll work closely with you to change your attitude towards nutrition, with tips on picking up healthy habits and making better choices when it comes to your food and drink. Crucially, we will work out what is realistic for you and your lifestyle, as well as your tastes and budget!

Single PT Session

Each PT session lasts an hour. During your first session, we will complete a thorough assessment and set a strategy for you moving forwards. We then follow up and reflect on progress as you work with me during each subsequent session.

Single PT session for TWO people

If you like training with a friend, this option is ideal. It works out cheaper for both of you, and you have each other to spur you on!

6 Sessions

This cost effective option helps you set a timeframe for your goals. My clients find that there is increased motivation when bulk buying sessions, as well as the added benefit of getting a sixth session for free!
